Design Engineer

A progressive company with an established reputation for innovative product development in the domestic range cooker market; we plan to strengthen our Engineering Department with the appointment of an experienced engineering professional.

In this wide-ranging and challenging role, you will:

• Assist in the creation of new product specifications
• Work closely with Product Design consultants to develop new products from concept to manufacture
• Play a key role within a committed and professional project team
• Devise and execute product test programmes to confirm compliance with international standards
• Liaise closely with Manufacturing to facilitate a smooth transition from design to production

The ideal candidate should:

• Be of graduate calibre, with at least five years experience in appliance design or a similar field
• Posses a high level of technical skill and computer literacy, including the use of 3D CAD
• Have a "hands-on" approach to product development and problem solving
• Be able to communicate effectively at all levels
